As mentioned, Performa Floor began by building Custom Portable Dance Floors and High End Custom Hardwood Car Floor Mats. Owner Brenda Palmer also worked at Ryerson Hardwood Floors for many years wearing many hats over the years from sales to estimating Hardwood Floor installation and refinishing jobs to later dealing with the office duties as well as the estimating and sales responsibilities.
Sadly, the tough economy coupled with having been forced to move several times took an unrecoverable toll on Ryerson Hardwood Floors making it necessary to close the doors for the last time in July 2010.
As soon as Brenda saw the writing on the wall, she figured that rather than just look for a job somewhere else, she would pick up where Ryerson left off and expand her Performa Floor business using the same skilled craftsmen, vendors and many of the same employees.
