Bob Richardson is a native Oregonian who grew up in Lane County where he picked strawberries and beans during the summers vacations. He enlisted in the Army and ended up in Frankfurt Germany serving as a Military Policeman for two years. This provided him the opportunity to tour Europe from the Swiss Alps to Paris.
Bob worked as a manager for McDonald’s Restaurants early in his career. For nearly ten years he ran an operation of over thirty employees. He found the most rewarding part of managing a restaurant was training the crew. The night shift would usually consist of a young crew from the local high schools. For many it was their first job. It was gratifying to see them learn new skills and develop confidence in themselves. Some of them went on to become team leaders and managers.
During the past ten years Bob has worked for Ryerson Hardwood Floors. “When I first came to Ryerson’s I was pleasantly surprised to find that over half of their business was from repeat business and referrals. I soon witnessed that this was due to the emphasis on quality work and superior customer service. I was proud to work for a company with such high standards.”
